As we head into the weekend, here are some updates.
Academic Pentathlon
Come and support our team next week at their competition next Saturday! The event is open to the community.

Super Quiz – 12:00 pm
SQ is a live competition that showcases what the students have been studying all year. It will cover the 22-23 Theme: The American Revolution and the New Nation, with questions from Literature, Science, Social Science, Art, and Music.
Awards – 5:00 pm
The results of testing from this week will be revealed with the presentation of medals for students earning individual awards in each of the five subject areas: Literature, Science, Social Science, Fine Arts, and Mathematics. Team Awards for Super Quiz and Overall Teams by grade will also be announced with the presentation of additional medals, plaques, and trophies.
Coffee with Mr.P!
Our next Coffee with Mr. Pannu will be next week. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss ongoing events here at Mcswain and how we could continue to strengthen the partnership between our school and our students and families. Our next session will be Tuesday, 4/25, at 8:15 am in the West Campus Library.
The focus of our meeting will be on our Library and the love of reading
Our amazing librarians will host this meeting!
Donuts and Coffee will be served.
This is open to all Parents! Spanish Translation will be available.
Spring Library Hours (West Campus)
Reminder on Thursdays moving forward, the West Campus Library will be open for 30 minutes after school.
Parents, feel free to bring your students to come and check out books and see what our Library has to offer
Spring Music Concert Postponed
We, unfortunately, will be postponing our Spring Concert.
As we determine an alternative time and date, we will have musical performances from our Band and After School Music students during this year’s family BBQ. The family BBQ is open to all parents/families, and the event will be held on May 19th—more information to come closer to the event.
Day of Awesomeness
We are proud to bring back our Day of Awesomeness with our Parent Teacher Association. The Day of Awesomeness is part of our Step It Up Program and is our last fundraiser for the school year.
On Monday, 4/24/23, your student will receive information regarding our fundraiser and the ability to enter the Golden Ticket Drawing.
As students fundraise, they will have the ability to be awarded prizes, and all students will be able to participate in a field day at the end of May.
The proceeds for the event will help End of Year Student Activities, Field Trips, Classroom Enrichment in addition to new technology, curriculum enhancements, and innovative learning materials.
