Family BBQ Reminder
Please review the steps below to ensure your family can attend the event alongside your student.
The event is open to families here at McSwain and is a tradition that stems back decades.
As part of the event, our families are welcome to have lunch with their students and invited to enjoy live music as we break bread with our community
Steps to Attend the Event
Step 1: Read the flyer sent out via email.
Step 2: Purchase Tickets by returning your student with the ticket form. Each student received a ticket form from their teacher to take home. Extra copies can be found in the office.
Step 3: Complete the RSVP form by May 10th.
In order to meet the needs of the event and to ensure supplies, we will not be selling tickets at the door or day of the event.
Day of Awsomeness Follow Up
From the McSwain Parent CLUB: Just a quick THANK YOU for helping your student use their AWESOMENESS to help others! We are so grateful for all of the support and participation in our Step It UP! program so far.
Since our program is coming to an end soon, please log back into your personal donation page and be sure that your child has reached their goal.
Every dollar raised makes a difference in the lives of our students! If you would like to make a donation yourself, there is still time. Just click on this link https://app.pop4kids.org/McswainES95341
All online and check donations are due by 5/8/2023. Please turn in cash and check donations in an envelope, with your students’ name on it, to the main office. Please make checks payable to McSwain Parent Community Club.
The proceeds from the event will help End of Year Student Activities, Field Trips, Classroom Enrichment in addition to new technology, curriculum enhancements, and innovative learning materials.
Thank you again for everything you are doing to make this Step It UP! program a huge success! The staff and students thank you for your generous support, as we continue to strive to give our students the most AWESOME school experience we can!
Once the donation phase is over we will be having our event which is open to all students on May 25th, more info to come!
Birthday Book Club
As we begin to wind down, we will be taking the last calls for the Birthday Book Club.
The Birthday Book Club was started 20 years ago, and thanks to our parents, it continues to be part of our McSwain culture and our love of reading.
If you would like to have your students sign up, please see this attached flyer.
The deadline for the last Book Club will be Monday, May 8th
Teacher Appreciation Week
This year, teacher appreciation week will be from May 8th- May 12th
In celebrating our fantastic staff, our parent-teacher club will be hosting a luncheon As part of this luncheon, they are looking for desserts to be donated
If you are interested in donating a dessert, please fill out this survey sent in email.
The parent club will be following up with you grading additional details before the teacher appreciation luncheon.
