NWEA Testing Reminder
NWEA Testing Window: September 9–23
Students in 1st through 8th grade will be taking the NWEA assessment during our upcoming two-week testing window, September 9–23.
We ask families to help students be prepared for testing by:
  • πŸ₯£ Having a good, healthy breakfast before school.
  • 😴 Getting a good night’s rest so they are ready to learn and test.
  • πŸ’» Coming to school with their Chromebook fully charged each day.
  • πŸŽ’ Arriving at school on time and ready to do their best.
Thank you for helping us set our students up for success! We appreciate your support as we work together to help our students show what they know and make the most of their NWEA testing experience.

McSwain Attendance Challenge: 97.16%

As we make our way through our McSwain Attendance Challenge and work toward our goal of 98% attendance for the school year, I wanted to give everyone a quick update on where we stand. We are currently at 97.16%! That is a great place to be, and we are within striking distance of our goal. Keep it up, Mustangs! Every day counts, and together we can get to 98%! πŸ΄

A Note From Principal Solis

What a wonderful morning at McSwain! Seeing West Campus filled with students sharing their school and breakfast time with their grandparents was truly something special. Thank you to all of our grandparents who joined us and helped make Grandparents’ Day such a meaningful and memorable event for our students.

An event like this takes an incredible amount of teamwork. I want to thank our McSwain team, including our office staff, administration team, maintenance and food services staff and everyone who helped with the planning, preparation, and setup; our West Campus teachers and students for creating the memorable centerpieces; our Parent Club for being there and providing the wonderful photo opportunity; our McSwain School Board President and Trustees for spending the morning with us; the Buhach Colony High School CAPET class and our McSwain Leadership students for helping throughout the event; and Larissa Sherman with London Properties and her team for providing coffee for our guests. Thank you to everyone who contributed in ways big and small to making the morning such a success.

I also want to thank our students, staff, and community for helping us recognize Patriot Day this week. I appreciated the opportunity for our Mustangs to come together in remembrance and to recognize the service, sacrifice, and courage of so many.

These events are true examples of what makes McSwain School and the McSwain community such an amazing place. I am incredibly appreciative that I had the opportunity to meet and visit with so many of our grandparents and to see firsthand the important role they play in the lives of our Mustangs.

Thank you all for everything you do to make our McSwain community so amazing!
