Our 1stβ8th grade students will be taking the NWEA assessment September 9β23. This is a two-week testing window that allows teachers flexibility in scheduling assessments and provides students with the time and support they need to complete their testing.
About NWEA Testing:

Students in 1stβ8th grade take the NWEA assessment three times each school year to help us monitor their academic growth and progress.

The NWEA assessment includes two parts: Reading and Math.

Students in 4th, 5th, and 8th grade will also take the NWEA Science assessment.

Kindergarten students will begin taking the NWEA assessment during the Winter term (2nd trimester).
Students will not all test on the same day. Teachers will communicate testing schedules as needed.
Families can help students have a successful testing experience by making sure they:

Eat a good breakfast before school

Get a good nightβs rest

Come to school with their Chromebook fully charged

Arrive at school on time and ready to do their best
There is no need for students to study or prepare for the NWEA assessment at home. We simply encourage students to come rested, prepared, and ready to show what they know!
NWEA assessments help us understand what our students know, monitor their growth throughout the year, and identify areas where they may need additional support. Thank you for partnering with us to help our students feel prepared, confident, and ready to do their best!
