Hello McSwain Families,
Thank you for making your child’s education a priority and ensuring they attend school each day.
To receive the highest quality education possible, students must attend school consistently and arrive on time. When students are frequently absent or tardy, it can affect their academic performance, social-emotional growth, and overall success. Please avoid taking your child out of school unless it is absolutely necessary.
As McSwain Mustangs, our goal is to achieve 100% attendance every day. When our Mustangs are here, they have the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed!
As we continue through the school year, we look forward to showcasing the amazing work our Mustangs accomplish each and every day.
Please review the important attendance information below.
Thank you for your continued support!
Best,
Mr. Pannu
Superintendent

Independent Study
If your child will be absent for five or more consecutive school days, you may request an Independent Study Contract. Please note:
-
Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance of the absence.
-
Students are marked as “in attendance” if the Independent Study work is completed and returned.
-
Independent Study is more than homework; it mirrors daily instruction and must be fully completed.

Contracts must be turned in on the first day back to school.
-
Teachers will determine how and when missed quizzes or tests will be made up.
-
If a student does not complete the Independent Study packet, they will be disqualified from receiving additional Independent Study for the remainder of the school year.
