What's Happening On Campus

TK & Kinder Round-Up 🐎
McSwain Elementary School District will be conducting our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten Round Up on February 25th and 26th, 2026.

Age Eligibility:
Transitional Kindergarten (TK): Child must turn 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026
Kindergarten: Child must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026

✨ New This Year:
TK will offer dismissal at 12:00 PM, from August 12 through August 26, 2026, to support a smooth transition into school. There will be an optional extended day enrichment program for those who would like their students to get out at 2:00 PM.

📚Reading is Fun Week 📖
Monday, March 2nd - Friday, March 6th.

Celebrations will occur across both campuses as we shine a spotlight on the importance of literacy and the lifelong joy of reading!

Encourage your student(s) to join in the fun with our dress-up days and show their Mustang spirit while celebrating great books!

We’re also looking forward to our Camp Read community event — a fun, family-centered celebration of reading and literacy. The event will take place on Wednesday March 4, from 4:30-6:00 PM. There are still a few "camp sites" available for families to host. If you are interested, please use the sign-up that was previously shared, or feel free to reach out to administration directly.

Lastly, be sure to stop by the Book Fair on the East Campus! As shared last week, The Fair will be open from 7:45am-2:30pm. You can shop now, through the online book fair. You can also purchase gift cards for your student to redeem at the book fair, through the online book fair website.

Our next Community Garden Event is scheduled for Saturday, March 7th!

This event will focus on transplanting seedlings to outdoor beds. While not required, we do encourage you to RSVP using the QR code on the flyer below, as refreshments will be provided for those attending.
