Dear McSwain Community,

I am writing to follow up on the community message that was shared earlier this week on 1/26/26. As stated, student safety is our utmost priority.

Earlier this week, we emphasized the importance of reporting concerns, and we sincerely appreciate the students, families, and staff who speak up when something does not feel right. As part of our established process, we are actively coordinating with law enforcement to thoroughly review the situation and to receive guidance related to student support and campus safety.

Appropriate actions are being taken to ensure the security of our school, and we will continue to collaborate with authorities to maintain a safe learning environment for everyone.

Due to legal requirements and our commitment to protecting student privacy, we are unable to share specific details about the individual involved or any ongoing investigation. Please know, however, that this matter is being handled with diligence and in accordance with all applicable laws, policies, and protocols.

If you or your child become aware of any concerning behavior, statements, or activities that could pose a risk to our school community, please report it immediately to school administration or submit information through our anonymous tip line, which is available on the McSwain homepage. This tool allows concerns to be shared confidentially so they can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.

In addition, school counselors are available to support any students who may need to talk or process concerns.

We appreciate your understanding, trust, and continued partnership as we navigate this situation together. By working collaboratively, we can ensure that our school remains a safe, supportive place for learning and growth.
