Principal's Message

Dear McSwain families 

 

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am Mr. Pannu and I am excited to be Principal for the upcoming school year.  For the families who are returning to  McSwain this year, we are glad to see you back; for our incoming families, we are excited to get to know you. 

 

McSwain School is built on a solid academic foundation that is second to none. Our staff goes above and beyond to design lessons and experiences for our students that will prepare them for the academic challenges they will face in high school and beyond. The successes exhibited by our students are a direct result of the academic and emotional support they receive at school and at home. We are grateful for our partnerships with our families, and we thank you in advance for fostering these partnerships this school year. 

 

In order to maintain positive relationships with your child(ren)’s teacher(s), please keep open lines of communication. Teachers utilize different communication tools,  such as phone calls, emails, dialers or smart phone applications to stay in contact with families.. Please use Parent Square to reach out to any teacher you need to contact,  and please set up an Aeries Parent Portal account to monitor your child(ren)’s grades  (fourth through eighth grades). 

 

At McSwain School, there are many ways you can be involved. Please stay tuned and look for notes that will be sent home by the McSwain Education Foundation and the McSwain Community Parent Club. Through fundraising efforts, these two organizations contribute greatly to the overall well-being of our school. In addition, please be on the lookout for correspondence from your student’s teacher(s) regarding additional opportunities to support your child in and outside the classroom.  

 

Please take some time to look through and note the policies we have in place to guarantee safety and overall well-being for students, staff and families, then sign and  return the acknowledgement form found in your child(ren)’s first day packet(s).  Keep this handbook in a safe place so you are able to refer to it through the duration  of the school year.
